Hakama Sizing

This chart can give you an idea of what size hakama might right for you, but the size will vary for each person and how they wear the hakama.  Hakama length is measured from the bottom of the stiff back.

The hem of your hakama should touch the top of your feet or be about 2" off the floor when standing upright.  Men usually wear obi over the hipbones and women usually wear obi above.  This may vary depending how your style ties the obi and hakama.  We recommend measuring from the top of your obi to the top of your feet to determine hakama size.  If you get a hakama that is a bit too long you can always have it hemmed up.
